Benefiting the Edward Waters
Memorial Scholarship Fund and the
Pancreatic Cancer Alliance
On April 4, 2009, Edward B. Waters lost his
battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 57.Ed was an accomplished golfer and the golf course was his second home. Ed started the golf program at Blackstone Valley Tech in Upton and he enjoyed teaching and sharing his love for the game of golf.
One of Eds last wishes was to have a scholarship fund created at BVT in his name so that his legacy would live on.
The proceeds from this golf tournament will directly benefit his scholarship fund, as well as the Pancreatic Cancer Alliance.
Our hope is that someday, others will not have to lose their loved ones to such a heartless and ruthless disease. Its important now more than ever to find a cure for cancer.
